Premiere of Eugene Onegin at Deutsche Oper am Rhein

On 24 May Vitali successfully conducted the premiere of Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin at Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Duisburg. This premiere confirms the special character of the theatre, as this institution is located in two cities, has two orchestras, as well as a large ensemble of regular soloists and a chorus. Thus the first premiere, which took place in 2023 in Düsseldorf, this time took place in Duisburg with completely different participants, which creates an opportunity to look at the same musical work in a new way and to deepen the different aspects of it.

This is the sixth operatic work that Vitali has conducted this season at Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
